Meet the Teacher
My name is Mrs. Heims. This is my sixth year teaching kindergarten at Aquin. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006 with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I have also received my K-6 reading endorsement. I believe that all children are unique and have different learning styles. I feel that it is my job to create lessons that meet the needs of all my students.
I have been married for 5 years to Mike Heims and we have two daughters Elizabeth who is 2 and Zoey was just born Christmas Eve. In our spare time, we enjoy golfing, walking, and spending time with our family and friends.
