Meet the Teacher
My name is Mrs. Heims. This is my sixth year teaching kindergarten at Aquin. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006 with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I have also received my K-6 reading endorsement. I believe that all children are unique and have different learning styles. I feel that it is my job to create lessons that meet the needs of all my students.
I have been married for 5 years to Mike Heims and we have one daughter Elizabeth and expecting our second child in early January. In our spare time, we enjoy golfing, walking, and spending time with our family and friends.
